ABSTRACT
This chapter presents a historical profile of leading real estate advisory service firms in each focal country. An evaluation of the internationalization of forty prominent firms provides a comparative reference for the detailed analysis of the growth and internationalization of four major real estate advisory service firms in Chapter 6. The case study approach departed from pure narrative analysis, in that business history can be documented through the chronology of particular firms and major events in the profession, an approach which Chandler pioneered in the early 1960s.1
