ABSTRACT
We begin by focusing on how conflict arises and ways of handling conflict, before exploring the factors which cause stress. The case study illustrates factors which lead staff in a family nursery to become confrontational when they consider their jobs and expertise to be threatened. We then examine the ways in which managers can handle conflict, before considering stress and its effects on workers.
