ABSTRACT

By now readers should be able to conduct a wide variety of non-experimental research. The objectives of much research are met by demonstrating the relationships between two or more variables. The correlation coefficients from Chapter 10 along with chi-square allow you to carry out a basic statistical analysis of any study based on the correlations between variables. Of course, as you advance your understanding of research you may need more sophisticated statistical analyses. Many of these are to be found in other sources (e.g. Cramer 1998; Howitt and Cramer 2000). Nevertheless, the basics of a correlational analysis covered so far will allow you to answer a wide variety of research questions.
