This final chapter touches on several issues that educators face in today’s Webbased learning environment: copyright, intellectual property policies, keeping up with technology, accreditation of online learning, and how future trends may affect your strategic planning for online education offerings. Each of these topics is complex and could easily expand into an entire chapter or book on its own. So, rather than cover each topic in depth, this chapter will provide several Web resources where you can further research the topics if you so desire. The intent here is to point out current developments and controversy, leaving you to form the policies and procedures that best meet your organizational needs.
