ABSTRACT
Eight of the nine remaining chapters of this book are case studies of ac
tual examples of policy research. The ninth chapter comments on these
cases. The case studies reflect some of the many different forms policy re
search can assume, and they were selected to help illustrate the concepts
explored in Part One. They include various types of information needs,
different parts of the policy sequence, a variety of policy research clients
and stakeholders (including different levels of government), and so on.
