Culturaid: ‘Raising cultural awareness’: a school- based Black history and culture parents’ group

Culturaid offers parent-run, school-based support in the form of a parentled curriculum cultural support role. The curriculum support strategy is designed to enable parents to assist the teachers in developing culturally appropriate curricular experience for their children. In doing so the intention is that the parents become more directly involved in the life of the school and enable the curriculum to have more relevance for the pupils.
