It can be tempting to find out a lot about the condition or injury which affects a pupil in school. The internet, medical dictionaries, information services provided by support groups . . . Questions can proliferate: What is it? How do you pronounce that name? What does that name mean? Is it very rare? What caused it? Is it catching? What makes the bones/skin grow like that? Does it hurt? What’s the treatment? Can it be cured? Can it be improved? Does it deteriorate? Will it go away? What about (more) plastic surgery? Does it affect people in other ways? Information is so important . . .
