ABSTRACT
The five sections in this instalment are devoted to exploring the picture introduced in §1. Wittgenstein stresses that the picture is not so much incorrect as limited, recommends we look at simple examples as an aid to clarifying how we operate with words, and examines the practice of teaching words by pointing to objects. In addition he introduces the idea of a language-game.
