ABSTRACT
Wittgenstein now turns his attention to numerals such as ‘one’, ‘two’ and ‘three’, demonstratives such as ‘there’ and ‘this’, and colour samples of the sort the shopkeeper uses to determine the colour of apples. In these ten sections, Wittgenstein examines commands involving these three new types of word in ‘primitive kinds of application’ (§5).
