While this volume’s structure and purpose is distinct from the shape of the Spaced Out series of talks that gave rise to it, it is worth returning for a moment to this original context in order to examine the implicit prejudices, problems and possibilities it carried forward which, in turn, have inevitably inflected on the texts included here.
