ABSTRACT
Mating behaviour has left its mark on the physical characteristics of primates such as humans and we are now in a position to apply some of the theory covered in earlier chapters to infer from the physical characteristics of modern humans the mating behaviour that shaped them. Two features of humans in particular are amenable to this type of analysis: the dimorphism in body size between men and women, and the size of men’s testes.
