ABSTRACT
The Greater Glasgow Health Board has a total bed complement of approximately 15,000 beds which are spread throughout 45 hospitals and encompass all the major clinical specialties.The district nursing staff provide home nursing services for a population of 1,105,645 (Scottish Health Statistics, 1975).
