ABSTRACT
In order to illustrate the practical application of the principles discussed in previous chapters we shall, in this chapter, describe a typical industrial design. The example chosen is taken from a scheme handled in the author’s office some years ago. The buildings of a disused factory were taken over by a chemical manufacturing company which proposed to adapt them as a new works. Electric services were needed for lighting and power to machinery.
