ABSTRACT
The United Kingdom is facing a shortage of young people entering higher education which will ultimately lead to shortages of suitably qualified personnel within the job market. The construction industry is already facing shortages of staff in certain areas of the country as is evident from the recruitment pages of the major professional journals.
