ABSTRACT
The resources, facilities and opportunities offered to people through the vast range of many thousands of voluntary bodies in the United Kingdom represent collectively a significant contribution to the field of recreation and leisure. Voluntary bodies vary greatly, from neighbourhood groups to national organizations. The voluntary sector is dominated by a vast array of leisure and recreation clubs and associations.
