ABSTRACT
At the beginning of Part I I wrote, ‘Evolutionary playwork is a new and developing discipline. As yet it has no agreed theoretical or practical base’, and even though in Parts I and II, I have tried to ‘capture’ my own playwork feelings, insights and experiences, I still feel that a comprehensive articulation of what playwork is and does is some way off, although some new developments in thinking are undoubtedly underway.
