ABSTRACT
Perhaps the most pressing environmental issue today is global warming. The international scientific community overwhelmingly supports the view that global warming is the result of human activities, and that its effects will be both of great financial and human cost. It has also become clear that global warming is taking place at a faster rate than previously believed. It is therefore necessary to address energy use, worldwide, as a priority.
