ABSTRACT
This book is the result of research that started a long time ago. It aims to examine the extent to which Fascism opened the way to female physical education and sport in Italy. By using all manner of available media Fascist propaganda spread throughout the country and the world the image of a strong nation of healthy sportspeople, including women, yet we do not know much about the gender issues raised by this propaganda.
