ABSTRACT
This chapter is a revised and expanded version of a paper that I presented at the conference of the London Convivium for Archetypal Studies at Cumberland Lodge in 1994. The topic of that conference was James Hillman and Michael Ventura’s provocative book We’ve Had a Hundred Years of Psychotherapy – and the World’s Getting Worse.
