ABSTRACT
The term demonstrative pronoun may seem long and intimidating, but as I observed in Chapter One, it becomes comfortable enough if you associate it with the verb to demonstrate. For these pronouns point to things – they put a demonstrating focus on a particular object or concept:
I like this very much: it’s a lot better than that, and it’s far superior to those.
