ABSTRACT
Not everyone has the time or inclination to program their own life soundtrack. But for those who do, a new era of home music programming is upon us, thanks to file compression and programmable streaming. Small files enable large, centralized MP3 collections. Programmable streaming provided by Rhapsody, Radio MX, and other flexible Webcasters-and to a less customizable extent digital radio-enables something similar to all-request radio.
