ABSTRACT
Miss Fountain thoroughly enjoyed her student days, but it is typical of her foresight, intelligence and wisdom that the outstanding impression of her time as a student was ‘An awakening to the enormous potentialities of Physical Education in general education and medicine’. Throughout her professional life, she retained an awareness of the potentialities of physical education and directed her efforts towards the fulfilment of these early ideals.
