ABSTRACT

Teens are often relieved as they learn about a model of grieving. Whether the facilitator presents a formalized step-by-step explanation of Wolfelt or Worden, or a simple graphic of the “Feelings of Grief’ as in Appendix C, teens are nodding when something resonates with how they feel or have felt. Even if a particular teen connects with only one or two of the feelings or behaviors, he or she soon realizes that what seemed like craziness is actually normal grief.
