ABSTRACT
This is the story of a partnership between a foundation and a large developer of shopping and entertainment complexes in cities across the country. The purpose of the partnership was to channel job opportunities in the development to residents of communities struggling with high unemployment. This story is about the partners and, in particular, why they came to the table, what happened, and the lessons they learned.
