ABSTRACT
Exotic infections A number of viruses, each with distinct geographical distributions, may give rise to hemorrhagic fevers (Lassa, Ebola, Marburg, Yellow fever, Dengue HF) or encephalitis (West Nile, Rabies), both life-threatening diseases. Returned travellers with suspected viral hemorrhagic fever should be transferred to high security infectious diseaseunits for management.
