ABSTRACT
Clinton S.Harris was born on May 9, 1900, in the Winfield neighborhood in the borough of Queens, New York City.1 He was the second of five children born to Purcell Warren Harris and Lucy Jeanette Stevens. According to his sister, Evelyn Harris Millford, Clinton showed an interest in architecture at a very young age and could be found at the public library looking at picture books with buildings.
