ABSTRACT
This chapter will sum up and pull together the major themes of this book. Owing to the paucity of research, policy, and practice specific to child neglect, it must be understood that some, perhaps many, of these conclusions-both of research reviewed and themes here presented-are drawn from limited data. However, it is believed that at the present time the following represents the state of the art regarding the children of neglect.
