After “Rosalita” the band goes backstage and towels down, but everybody knows they’re not going anywhere. This is a rock and roll encore—a necessary part of the show, an especially important moment in the Springsteen liturgy because it’s traditionally the part where all debts have been paid and you’re free to bop ‘til you drop.
