ABSTRACT
In chapter 2 we saw that learning to segment words based on phonotactics is likely to have consequences for morphological decomposition. Furthermore, we saw experimental evidence that phonotactics can be used, online, to decompose nonsense words into morphemes. In this chapter we examine the consequences of these results for the processing and representation of real words.
