ABSTRACT
This chapter generalizes the basic search model by permitting the wage offer distribution to fluctuate with the business cycle. Ad hoc search arguments have been used extensively to speculate about individual behavior over the business cycle. An indisputable fact emerging from these speculations is that the state of the economy is in constant flux and may have a significant influence on search behavior.
