ABSTRACT

During April forty-three Separatists were examined. The examinations total forty-four, inasmuch as Robert Abraham was examined twice on April 3. Of the forty-three persons, twenty-six had been apprehended in the meeting of March 4. Of the remaining seventeen, one [Collier] had been in prison since 1587; one [Sparrow] since March 1588/1589; two [J. Clark, Waterer] since about January, 1589/1590; three [Boyse, F.Johnson, Settle] since December, 1592; four [Bowman, Brodwater, Diggins, W.Smithe] since February, 1592/1593; five [Bellot, Grave, Knyviton, Penry, Unwen] since March 10–22, 1592/1593; and one [Smells] since April 8, 1593.
