ABSTRACT
The examination of John Hale is in Harley MSS. 6848, f. 95 recto, dated July 2,8, 1590. His second examination is in f. 95 verso, of which there is a copy in Harley MSS. 7042, f. 204 verso. It is undated, but probably occurred on July 28 or 31.
