ABSTRACT

There is no direct route from the offices of the Creative Director to those of the Chief Operating Officer. When you get there it is a bit like coming down to earth. This is not the world of the future but concerned with the realities of today. It’s all about getting tasks performed in an efficient and predictable way with four key areas for operations management (Figure 5.1). Spread across three cerebral zones, the temporal, parietal and occipital lobes and well connected to the basal ganglia storing behavioural routines below, the offices here are concerned with sequential information about tangible things and efficient reliable processing routines, rather than generating ideas. Functions of the rear left cortical quadrant (the COO). https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780203501375/0bffb3d0-b816-41ba-b3fa-c9589a002963/content/fig5_1_C.jpg" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/>
