ABSTRACT

If you have worked your way through this book, then you are now ready to move forward toward implementing your financial plan. You are armed with knowledge about your practice, investing, retirement planning, insurance planning, and estate planning. At this point, you can either implement your own plan based on the information you have gathered here or consult with a professional financial planner. Our bias is that professional consultation can be a worthwhile investment. Probably the strongest financial plans are developed when the client is deeply involved and informed about the issues and seeks out professional consultation in the design and implementation of the plan. This is not unlike effective psychotherapy with an informed, interested patient who is willing to invest in treatment with a professional psychotherapist rather than going it alone.
