ABSTRACT
The subject of this chapter is generic micro analysis, which is the study of how generic rules are carried by micro units (which we distinguish between agents and agencies), and the process by which a novel rule is originated, adopted and retained by such carriers. The economy evolves when a new idea is adopted for use by others, such that there is generic change in individual carriers. This chapter is concerned with this process at the level of the micro unit.
