So far, we have furnished the analytical foundations of this framework in terms of the concepts of rules, carriers operations and trajectories. We have indicated that all evolutionary analysis is ultimately a generic analysis in the sense of the study of coordination and change in rules. Furthermore, we have indicated how this naturally leads to a micro meso macro framework that is centered about a meso unit, as a rule and its carrier population, and a meso trajectory, as the origination, adoption and retention of the rule into a population.1
The economic system is in this way made of meso units and has both rule structure and population structure. Economic evolution is the process of generic change and re-coordination.
