Imagine a wet Sunday afternoon, and a child clamouring for your attention. She is bored with Snakes and Ladders, but hasn’t yet mastered chess. She has a menagerie of stuffed animals, and several dolls. She is also quite vain. (So is her brother, but he’s ill in bed upstairs.) You need a game you can play together, to keep her amused for a while.
