ABSTRACT

With few exceptions people choose to work with young children because they like them, enjoy their company and are interested in seeing them grow and develop. Children are a delight, and yet they make heavy demands on those who look after them. Amid the stresses of life in a nursery it is all too easy for the workers to lose sight of what brought them there in the first place. Unless they continue to find interest and pleasure in the job the quality of care will inevitably suffer.
