ABSTRACT
Parents are often perplexed by their children’s aggressive behavior. “Why is he doing this to us?” is a question we hear over and over. Parents begin by scrutinizing every aspect of their child’s life in search of a reason for the violence. They often look at themselves as failed parents, but are not really sure where they went wrong. Each new round of verbal attacks or destroyed property leads to more searching and more unanswered questions.
