ABSTRACT

Before discussing the execution of committal warrants, I would like to expand my analysis of enforcement work. There are peculiarities about the bailiff's position which must be understood before legal control processes become intelligible. A bailiff's handling of his role has profound effects on the selection of debtors for imprisonment and the style in which they are committed. The working personality of a bailiff merits detailed examination. The work loads of London bailiffs in 1964 https://www.niso.org/standards/z39-96/ns/oasis-exchange/table">
