ABSTRACT
Postmodernism can be a difficult concept to comprehend because of its richness and complexity. An elaborate lexicon surrounds it, full of ‘ologies’, ‘ities’ and ‘isms’, that often obscures and confuses its would-be audiences. Our ambition in this chapter is to take away some of the term’s mystique, by clarifying and, we hope, simplifying some of its key principles.
