ABSTRACT

Why address strategic thinking in relation to socio-national culture? The role of culture in strategic thinking is a topic that is often either at the forefront of the minds of those responsible for the strategic success of companies and other organizations, or buried deep in oblivion. Globalization has forced us to examine the role of culture with regard to strategic thinking. As Part VIII will point out, we need to understand the learning process involved in strategic thinking in order to position constructively the role that culture plays in strategic thinking.
