ABSTRACT
Probably the greatest problem associated with any information exchange is semantics. In different regions of the same nation, words may convey different meanings and add confusion to an otherwise simple transfer of data. Communicating across national and linguistic boundaries compounds the issue. To relieve this situation and to establish a basic vocabulary, a number of museum-related terms require definition.
