ABSTRACT
Once the instruments in the lighting package are focused it becomes a functional lighting system. This next paperwork packet facilitates and documents the creation of the lighting cues. Two of the first three documents are the next evolution of core design documents that were first examined in Chapter 3. The magic sheet has now grown to a concentrated map that graphically identifies channels and instruments in their focus patterns relative to one another. The cheat sheet presents this same information as a concentrated channel hookup that identifies instruments in their dimmer or channel sort order. The cue master is still a constantly evolving document based on the preliminary version that was used to help create the light plot. Regardless of its current state, the cue master’s purpose is to accurately reflect the current purpose and attributes for each light cue, and keep track of the progression of light changes for the entire show.
