The children

I am Scottish by birth, and my education and initial teacher training took place in Edinburgh, as did my first two years of teaching. I emigrated to Australia in the late 1960s and spent a further 20 years with the South Australian Education Department, teaching in state (government) schools. For 12 of these years I taught academically gifted children in a variety of special settings, including cluster groupings, pull-out programs and full-time self-contained classes.
