ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will round off the book by providing you with an overview of some key concepts in education. Therefore we will explore some of the many questions concerning the aims and values of education and the relationship of these aims and values to society. This will deepen your understanding and awareness of how those issues affect the education of children and young people. We hope to encourage you to question educational processes in a wide variety of contexts, including your own, through an exploration of the relationship between policy and practice.
