ABSTRACT
Having examined the displacement and movement of people out of the Horn across Africa and the Middle East, and the precarious position of ‘Eritreans’ in Ethiopia, this chapter looks at what awaits the relatively few individuals who manage to reach the UK – a country with one of the best-resourced asylum systems in Europe 1 – and apply for asylum.
