ABSTRACT

Throughout this book I have stated principles that any good learning environment, whether inside or outside school, ought to have. If the reader wants “practical” recommendations, then the best thing to do is to ask how these principles could be differently implemented in different types of learning settings. And of course there would have to be differences in implementation, since each learning situation is different and calls for customized implementations not general ones. If I wanted to offer a “reader’s exercise,” I would suggest that readers go through the book, underline principles of good learning and state for themselves how they could be implemented in the specific learning situations they care about.
