ABSTRACT

As a child, I used to listen to Egyptian music and to the Lebanese singer Fairuz on my Walkman just not to listen to the bombs anymore. This is what my mother told me. I also used to play on a piano while there were bombings outside. Till today, I can't even think of touching a piano again. And with music, as such, I still have a lot of problems. For a long time, I refused to listen to it at all, because it was too much related to war. (Rana Eid, interview by musician)
