Some readers will be asking themselves, why bother with all this detailed advice and instruction on how to edit books? The future lies in electronic publishing. Indeed there does seem to be a great future. On-line publishing is established, especially in academic, scientific and technical publishing. The e-book is still in development but there are many arguments about whether the market wants it.
